FAQs
How long does it take to receive my commission?
My current list of clients is always changing with some projects taking longer than others, which will affect . After you make your purchase, I will email you within 2-3 days to receive your reference photos and update you on my current timeline. If you need something completed earlier than my timeline will allow, an additional rush fee is available. Please plan for longer completion times during the holidays! Shipping timelines are estimates and not guarantees, for which I am not responsible.
What if there are issues with shipping?
Please refer to the Shipping & Returns page.
This is my favorite picture of my dog, but can you make it so his ears are pricked up and put a frisbee in his mouth?
Nine times out of ten, unfortunately not. I draw directly from one photo. I strive for realism and achieving the most accurate likeness of your animals, therefore I can not just “make stuff up.” Same goes for my paintings of buildings. Simple changes like removing a collar or trash can are possible, just notify me beforehand.
I want a painting of a dog that has passed, and I don’t have many quality photos. Can you still make me a painting?
I will always do my best with what I’m provided. That being said, the better quality the reference photo, the better the painting. Some areas may stand to be improvised, but that risks compromising the likeness of the animal and the quality of the painting. If this is the case, I will be in touch with you directly. Unfortunately some photos just won’t translate well into paintings and there will be a chance that I won’t be able to work from them.
Can you combine two separate photos of two animals into one painting?
Most likely yes—I know how hard it is to get both of my dogs relaxed and paying attention in one picture! If you are able, I ask that you take the photos from the same angle at the same time of day. This works best if they are the same general size and may call for getting separate, individual portraits made. Again, I will do my best to work with what you can provide me.
I see you only have samples of dogs and cats, can you paint other animals?
Yes! Oh, please have me paint your horse.
Will my artwork be framed?
Unless otherwise specified, items will be unframed.
Can I order an original piece along with prints of it?
Yes, what a great idea! Just plan on a longer timeline for the prints to be made. I will be in touch with you directly for this matter.
Do you paint humans?
As of right now, no, but never say never!
